Tuesday, March 24

Sleep: Both in Jodhpur and also here in Muzaffarpur, I have had no problem sleeping. Schedule in J was so busy I was exhausted time we got to room. In a different way it has also been very busy here in M. Jim & Dean arrived on sched last night. I led them to a phone calling facility (STD) nearby where they took turns calling home, talking with wives and children. Then brief catching up on what has happened and what is planned and how we can approach some desired changes. We had hoped/planned on spending an overnight Wed to Thur in village(s). But Manoj has us down for a brief afternoon visit to a nearby town instead. So Jim will talk with him today. I deferred that to Jim because he has history with Manoj. Back to sleep topic: First nite here I fell asleep as soon as my eyes blinked on the pillow. Last nite it might have taken 4 blinks of the eyes. Awoke 5:44. Now 7:30 and expect driver any moment. Bfast @ 8; class @ 9.

Happy birthday to my favorite daughter!

Tue, 24 March, Jim and Dean arrived on sched & taught most of time today. Mike continued series on faith and I did another hour on descrip of God. Then Jim started series on princ of leadership based on life of Joshua. He sched to continue after lunch while working in an hour for Dean. So Mike & I went back to room and slept. After dinner at night, called Amber; it’s her bday. Had tried to call previously but no answer. Finally got answer. She was skyping Angela when I called. Angie lives in Mumbai while her husband’s comp has him here. So Am talking with friend in Mumbai when her father (i.e. me) calls—also from India.

Pastor Jim Terwilliger (L) and Dean Miller (R) from North Marion Fellowship travelled with us as far as Mumbai. After a weekend in Nagpur, they rejoined us in Muzaffarpur on Monday night and carried most of the teaching load on Tuesday.

All week, whether teaching or preaching, Jim spoke on the subject of leadership and developing leaders based on the life of Joshua. Good stuff!

Vikash and other students listening to Jim.

Himangshu (R) and Simion (L)

Manoj Paul (L) translated for Jim until his brother Subodh arrived by train. Manoj is area coordinator for Bihar state.

Subodh Paul (L) our usual translator; Manoj Paul (C) area coordinator; Shilu (R) fiancee of Manoj.
