Okay, so you read my previous post--with the questions about experiencing and/or sometimes not sensing the love of God. And you said to yourself, "Wow, that's going to take some thought." And then you forgot to think about it. Right?
So this is just a gentle reminder: Please, I really am interested in your thoughts/reflections on this topic. The one response I received was very interesting and encouraging. But I sincerely want to see what other input you have on the topic(s).
No right or wrong answers. Just where you are on the subject currently and/or where you have traveled on this journey to this point.
Thank you!

Wow, Eddie...
It is so hard to respond in the paramters that you have set... I'm not sure I can... Because it is in His forgiveness, healing and grace that I find the full extent of His love for me personally...
I find in my home and family, a picture of God's love... demonstrated by my parents [both Shafer and Culbertson]; by my wife; and by our sons [and their lovely wives]...
I also find a demonstration of God's love at times in the Community of Faith of which I am a part... As in any relationship [even home and family], it's not perfect, but at times I see God's personal love at work!!!
And, I find a true demonstration of God's Love in Public Worship... When I become aware of God's presence... But again, I'm not sure that we can truly separate a discussion of God's Love demonstrated personally in our lives apart from the discussion of forgiveness and grace, and the birth, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ!!!
Anyway... those are my random thoughts!!!
Have a great day!!!
Gale :)
I don't need any convincing. Every particle in my body proves that God cares and loves me. His promises that I experience everyday-whether positive or negative prove that He is watching, comforting, providing , supporting, protecting, loving, etc. etc. I know that He loves me unconditionally. Most of the times we say we love Him because we receive something from Him or experiencing goodness in life; then once negative things come, we give up God.
So to the second question, my answer is, there's no doubt in my mind of His unfailing love and faithfulness to me. I actually am scared just to think asking this question; I have no right to ask or doubt His love for me; even if He slays me, as what Job said, He is still my God and Creator and I am grateful to Him.
