Here are my questions for you: Without referencing forgiveness of sins, death and resurrection of Christ would you please answer these questions:
What has God done in your life that convinces you he loves YOU (i.e., you personally, not just people in general)?
Do you ever struggle with the question, "Does God really love ME?" if so, what prompts that/those thought(s)?
Thank you....

Before I met Shawn, I prayed for my future husband. In fact I made a list of some of the things I really wanted in a husband. I faithfully prayed for this and I believe that Shawn fits almost all of those requests - even down to the smaller requests. I cannot imagine a greater demonstration of God's love for me, because truly is my other half. -S
The things that are most touching to me are those that may be outside of what you want for an answer. Of course, the various blessings of life are an indication of God's personal love for me and for which I should always be grateful; eg. my wife, job, friends, etc.
But what I think of when you ask for a personal example of why I believe that God loves me is wrapped up in the sacramental Christian life. I have experienced this most clearly in the sacrament of reconciliation (confession) and in the Eucharist. If I've struggled with wondering if that all was true, it's time to head back to the confessional - at its best it is a place of extreme love and abundant grace.
