I just read an article I enjoyed very much. It reviews a book by Dinesh D'Souza. The book responds to "New Atheist" diatribes. I think you will appreciate the article. You may even be tempted to buy the book!
Let me know what you think about the article. Thanks!

I think in these sort of debates people tend to speak past each other, use different points of reference, and at some level are usually trying to convince/convert the other side rather than sharing and listening in turn. All of which means that very little communication actually happens. A more useful dialogue perhaps, than arguing the existence of God, would be to contrast the operative value of an atheist vs theist in any of a number of categories. What that would expose is the potential flaws of a lack of objectivity (moral, ethical, spiritual, etc) produces in human behavior. But it also means that we theists have to be at our best - we can't get away with simplistic arguments that rely on unaccepted sources. We have to begin the argument where atheists begin their protest - that religious fervor and belief is detrimental to human society. If we can't answer that sufficiently, and address what effects a wholly atheist society would produce, we won't go anywhere.
My 2 cents.
